The SG851 was designed to fix the poor steering performance found in 2nd Generation Dodge RAM 2500 & 3500 4WD trucks. The factory design used a small 36mm lower sector shaft support bearing and had suboptimal placement within the housing, leading to excessive side-to-side movement and poor durability—especially in off-road conditions.

PSC has completely redesigned the SG851 to eliminate these weaknesses by incorporating a larger 45mm sector shaft and a substantially upgraded lower sector shaft support bearing. The 80mm internal piston assembly provides greater load-pushing capability, while the 16:1 steering ratio delivers exceptional handling and effortless maneuvering, both on-road and off-road.
